As a star-rated facility, you can rest assured that your child will receive quality care at reasonable rates for the Wilmington area. Be sure to ask about our star rating when you visit!
Our teachers have one to 25 years of experience with each one maintaining education levels ranging from Early Childhood Credentials up to four-year degrees. Our teachers are also certified through the North Carolina Institute of Early Childhood.

Rising Stars welcomes all parent participation. We have several class parties throughout the year where parents are invited to join their children for lunch or snacks. Parents with special talents are also welcome to come and participate with children. Any time that parents can come in and spend 30 minutes to an hour in a classroom, we c
Rising Stars welcomes all parent participation. We have several class parties throughout the year where parents are invited to join their children for lunch or snacks. Parents with special talents are also welcome to come and participate with children. Any time that parents can come in and spend 30 minutes to an hour in a classroom, we consider it a blessing and welcome parents to spend some of their free time with the children.

Outside Play
Rising Stars follows state regulations in allowing the children to go outside twice each day. We feel that all children need this time to run and experience all that nature has to offer. Rising Stars believes that by conducting indoor activities outside, the outdoors becomes an extension of the classroom.
Nutrition and Security
Nutrition
Rising Stars participates in the Food and Nutrition Program for North Carolina and serves meals and snacks in accordance with national standards for healthy eating. We strive to encourage our children to try a variety of different foods, and offer a well-balanced menu that is changed on a weekly basis. All meals and snacks are prepared fresh, daily.
Menus are planned out monthly and are posted in our center for parents to see. There are also copies available to take home.
Rising Stars works with families and children that have special dietary needs. We are an allergy-aware center and do not serve peanuts or peanut products to children. During your interview with our center, discussion of any special needs is very important to us.
Security
For the safety of our children, Rising Stars keeps its doors locked at all times and utilizes a pass point security system for parent entry. We advise our parents to notify us when someone else will be picking up their child and require proper identification for unfamiliar pick-ups. Rising Stars has viewing cameras on site and 2-way door viewing for observation of children during play.
